Ingredients

  • 4 - chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless- pounded 1/4 inch thick
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup cooking sherry

How To Make garlicky chicken marsala

  • Step 1
    In a shallow dish or bowl, mix together the flour, salt, pepper and oregano.
  • Step 2
    Coat chicken pieces in flour mixture.
  • Step 3
    In a large skillet, melt butter in oil over medium heat. Place chicken in the pan, and lightly brown.
  • Step 4
    Turn over chicken pieces, and add mushrooms and garlic. Pour in wine and sherry.
  • Step 5
    Cover skillet; simmer chicken 10 minutes, turning once, until no longer pink and juices run clear.
