This recipe came about because I had the cracker crumbs left over from making meatloaf. I am not one to throw anything away. I thought what can I do with these and this recipe was born with a little bit of changes. Friends and family both love and it is a meal which is made when we are all together. Served with a fresh spinach salad and garden veggies.

Ingredients

  • 4 - chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1-2 package ritz crackers {crushed] [must use ritz for this recipe]
  • 1 stick butter, cold

How To Make garlic chicken

  • Step 1
    Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Spray small baking dish with a non-sticking spray. Place thawed chicken breast evenly into baking dish. In a Zip lock bag place Ritz crackers and crush. [hint a rolling pen works great for this] add garlic to crushed crackers. Spreaded crushed crackers/garlic evenly over chicken. Cut cold butter into pads place evenly onto chicken. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until is cooked through and crackers are golden in color. Enjoy
