This recipe is based on a Sandra Lee recipe I found - I tweaked it a bit and the results are wonderful! Whenever I bring these to a gathering there are NEVER any leftovers!

- 3 pounds chicken wings
- 1 (18 oz) jar apricot-pineapple preserves
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 (1.25oz) package taco seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (or use 1 tsp fresh, minced garlic)

How To Make game time wings
-
Step 1Preheat broiler. Remove tips from chicken wings - cut chicken wings in sections. Place wings on foil-lined baking sheet. Broil wing sections for 8-10 minutes until skin is crispy and golden. Place wings in slow cooker.
-
Step 2Mix preserves, taco seasoning, chipotle powder, garlic powder, ketchup and jalapeno pepper in a bowl. Pour over wings and stir to coat. (Note: chipotle can add heat with only a small amount)
-
Step 3Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours. Turn off slow cooker and let sit for 15 minutes to allow juices to thicken.
