gaga's 7up chicken
(1 RATING)
This was my grandma's (GaGa) recipe. She gave me several basic recipes when I got married. It's so easy and my family always loved it.

Ingredients
- 6 - 8 - chicken pieces (whatever you like, i used to use a whole cut-up chicken)
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup 7up (or any clear soda)
How To Make gaga's 7up chicken
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
-
Step 2Rinse chicken and pat dry. Arrange in 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with dry onion soup mix. Cover with foil and bake in 500 degree oven for 15 minutes.
-
Step 3Remove from oven & reduce temp to 350 degrees. Carefully remove foil. Drizzle chicken with 7Up, careful not to wash off the soup mix. Cover & return to oven. Bake for 45 minutes.
-
Step 4You can substitue white wine for the 7Up. And you can make a gravy out of the plentiful pan juice (although I'm not the best gravy maker). Enjoy!
