Slow Cooker Crock Pot

  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2
    onions, finely chopped
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    herbs de provence
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    cracked black pepper corns
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1/2 c
    white wine
  • 1 c
    chicken stock
  • 14 oz
    diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 14 oz
    artichoke hearts, drained and rinsed
  • 3 lb
    skinless bone in chicken thighs (around 8)
  • ·
    basil to taste

How to Make French Basil Chicken - slow cooker


  1. Heat oil over medium heat, add onion and cook until soft.
  2. Add garlic, Herbs de Provence, salt and pepper, cook for 1 minute, stirring.
    Add flour, stir for 1 minute, add the wine, cook for 1 minute.
    Add the stock and tomatoes, and bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in artichoke hearts, remove from heat.
  4. Place chicken thighs in the crock pot, and cover with sauce.
  5. Cook on low for 6 1/2 hours.

    Delicious served over rice.
