Ingredients
- 1.25 pounds chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1.5 cups chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- - "just a pinch" of garlic powder
- - "just a pinch" of salt
- - "just a pinch" of pepper
- 15 ounces peas
- 1/2 cup basil, fresh chopped
- 1 pound fettuccine, cooked according to package directions

Step 1Place chicken in an ovenproof dish and add 1/2 cup chicken broth.

Step 2Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes on each side, or until chicken is slightly pink.

Step 3Reserve chicken broth and cut breasts across the grain into medium-size slices.

Step 4Let cool.

Step 5In a saucepan, melt butter, add flour and stir.

Step 6With a whisk, add milk, cream or half and half.

Step 7Stir in one cup of chicken broth and then add reserved broth from cooked chicken.

Step 8Add parmesan cheese, garlic powder, pepper, peas, basil and chicken.

Step 9Simmer until chicken is cooked through.

Step 10Pour sauce over fettucini.

Step 11Serve immediately.
