Fabulous Buffalo Wings

Connie Ottman

These buffalo wings are moist and seasoned to perfection. I believe I saw a simular recipe on a tv show. However, we've been playing with this recipe for years and we've tweeked it to our pallets. You can do the same. Use any hot sauce or buffalo wing sauce you like. However, we've tryed different sauces and prefer the butter and Chrystal sauce. Recipe can be doubled or tripled during football season. Enjoy!

How to Make Fabulous Buffalo Wings

  1. Remove the tips of the wings.
  2. Bend the wings in half and cut at the joint.
  3. Place a steamer basket in a large pot. Place about an inch of water in the pot. Cover and bring to a boil.
  4. Put the chicken wings in the steamer, reduce heat to medium, cover and steam for ten minutes.
  5. Remove the chicken wings and pat dry. Careful, they'll be hot.
  6. Place paper towels on a cookie sheet. Place dryed chicken wings on the cookie sheet and place in refrigerator for an hour to dry out.
  7. Preheat oven to 420 degrees.
  8. After an hour in the refrigerator, replace paper towels for parchment paper. Place chicken on the parchment covered cookie sheet.
  9. Cook the chicken wings for 20 minutes. Turn over and cook for another 20 minutes. Chicken wings should be golden brown when removed from the oven.
  10. Place garlic in a large bowl with butter. Melt in microwave.
  11. Add hot sauce and salt to the butter bowl.
  12. Toss in cooked wings and stir.
  13. Great with celery and blue cheese dressing.
