How To Make easy crockpot chicken and dressing
-
Step 1Place chicken breast in a pot and cover with water. Add salt and pepper and other flavorings you desire in your chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then lower temperature and simmer until chicken is tender. I use bone-in chicken as I think it is more flavorful. When done, remove skin and bones and chop chicken into bite-sized pieces. Be sure and retain broth. Spray your crockpot with cooking spray or use a crockpot liner for easy cleanup. Layer ingredients into crockpot as follows - chicken, both cans of creamed soups, stuffing mix, chicken broth, and cut up butter on top. Cook 3 - 4 hours on low. Midway of cooking, check on ingreidents and stir. If you want a more moist result, add more chicken broth. We do not like a dry dressing so I add about 2 cups broth total.
