I received this recipe years ago from a dear friend and have made it many times. It is super moist, full of flavor and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 3 - 4 - chicken breasts, boiled and broth saved
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup - 98% fat free is fine
  • 1 can cream of celery soup, - 98% fat free is fine
  • - your favorite boxed stuffing mix
  • 1 1/2 - 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 stick butter

How To Make easy crockpot chicken and dressing

  • Step 1
Place chicken breast in a pot and cover with water. Add salt and pepper and other flavorings you desire in your chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then lower temperature and simmer until chicken is tender. I use bone-in chicken as I think it is more flavorful. When done, remove skin and bones and chop chicken into bite-sized pieces. Be sure and retain broth. Spray your crockpot with cooking spray or use a crockpot liner for easy cleanup. Layer ingredients into crockpot as follows - chicken, both cans of creamed soups, stuffing mix, chicken broth, and cut up butter on top. Cook 3 - 4 hours on low. Midway of cooking, check on ingreidents and stir. If you want a more moist result, add more chicken broth. We do not like a dry dressing so I add about 2 cups broth total.
