One of my husband and I's favorites...and one thing I realized, italian food just isnt the same in the south so why not make it myself??? (it's important to use the panko breadcrumbs because it makes it crispy...I think next time I might just do all panko and add my own italian seasonings)

prep time 45 Min
cook time 30 Min
method ---
yield 4-6 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 cup italian bread crumbs
  • 4 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • - shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jar your favorite pasta sauce
  • - spaghetti on the side

How To Make easy chicken parmesan

  • Step 1
Cut your boneless chicken breasts in half, so that it's not thick and easier to fry all the way through that it's cooked.
  • Step 2
Mix breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese together.
  • Step 3
Put flour in a bowl, put beaten eggs in a bowl next to flour, then end with a big bowl with your breadcrumbs.
  • Step 4
Wash chicken. Cover in flour, then eggs, then breadcrumbs. Set onto cookie sheet and let sit for a half an hour.
  • Step 5
Preheat oven at 350 degrees fahrenheit
  • Step 6
Heat oil in a skillet on medium high heat. Add chicken and brown on each side. About 8 minutes to each side.
  • Step 7
Remove chicken and dab on each side with paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • Step 8
Top chicken with sauce and sprinkle on shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Step 9
Place in oven for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • Step 10
Serve with side of spaghetti. I usually also sprinkle a little garlic powder and onion powder onto the sauce before I add the cheese to kick it up a notch. Mangia! :)
