Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ritz crackers (4 sleeves)
  • 1 c
    diced cooked chicken
  • 8 oz
    can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 10 1/2 oz
    can cream of mushroom soup
  • 10 1/2 oz
    can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    dried basil
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Down Home Sweet Gaggie's Chicken Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Oven to 350 degrees. Crush the crackers and set aside 2 c of the crumbs. Sprinkle remaining crumbs across bottom of 9x13. Scatter chicken over crumbs and top with water chestnuts. Place cream soups in medium bowl. Whisk in sour cream and basil; season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour over chicken, top with reserved cracker crumbs. Bake 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
