  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    cumin, ground
  • 1/4 tsp
    turmeric, ground
  • 6 oz
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 8 oz
    tomatoes
  • 1/2 c
    red wine
  • 3 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/4 c
    water

How to Make Crockpot Hunter's Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown bell pepper, onion, mushrooms and garlic in oil in skillet.
  2. Place whole chicken in crockpot; add seasonings and vegetables, topping with vegetables from skillet.
  3. Add wine; cook until done.
  4. Remove chicken to warmed platter (in 200-degree oven).
  5. Add water to cornstarch and salt and stir to a paste, then add to crockpot mixture and cook until slightly thickened and bubbly.
  6. Spoon sauce over chicken.
