crockpot dressing
While I am preparing the other items for my holiday meal, I find it easier to put the dressing in the crockpot so I can free the oven for other uses. This dressing comes out moist and delicious.

Ingredients
- 1 - (8 inch) pan cornbread
- 8 slices dry white bread, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- 1 tablespoon ground sage
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 - ribs celery, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 large bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 1/2 cups cubed chicken or turkey (optional)
How To Make crockpot dressing

Step 1Add ingredients, except butter, to crockpot, stirring after each ingredient.

Step 2Dot butter on top of dressing mixture.

Step 3Cook 2 hours on High then 4 to 6 hours on low.
