Crockpot Chicken Penne/Farfalle

Really simple start in the morning and forget till noon or dinner dish the entire family will enjoy, serve with a small wedge salad, maybe some crusty bread, a nice glass of red wine, and dinner is served!!!! Hope you enjoy

Slow Cooker Crock Pot


boneless/skinless chicken thighs
4 medium
sweet salad type peppers
1-2 slice
sweet onion
1 jar(s)
spaghetti sauce, meatless
1/2 c
parmesan cheese grated
green onions
2 slice
hickory smoked bacon


1Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, roll in flour
2In a large cast iron skillet brown bacon on low to render out fat. Remove bacon set aside to have on salad with meal. Add olive oil to bacon fat & fry chicken thighs on medium for 4 min per side.
3Warm sauce in microwave, add small amount to bottom of crockpot just to coat, areange browned chicken in bottom of crockpot
4Top with sliced peppers and onions
5Pour remaining sauce over and cook on low 3-4 hours
6Add combination of dry penne and farfalle pasta and 3/4 cup of water, cover and cook till pasta is tender, be careful not to over cook the pasta.
7Top with Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes and chopped green onions to garnish.....enjoy!!
