Easy and Delicious! My Dad asks me to make this kind all the time!

Ingredients

  • 1 - whole chicken
  • - stock from the chicken
  • 8 inch - skillet of cornbread
  • 8 slices loaf bread, toasted and cubed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sage, dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 - onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
  • 3 - eggs, well beaten

How To Make crockpot chicken & dressing

  • Step 1
    The night before----cook a whole chicken in the crockpot on low temperature all night.
  • Step 2
    In the morning remove the chicken and leave stock in your crockpot. Cool chicken and debone pieces. Sit aside.
  • Step 3
    Add all the rest of the ingredients to the stock in the crockpot. I usually taste test for the sage before adding the eggs. Place boned chicken pieces on top of the dressing. Cook in the crockpot on high temperature for 3 1/2 hours.
