crockpot chicken and herb dumplings

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken
  • pinch salt
  • pinch pepper
  • 2 - garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme, powdered
  • 1/4 teaspoon marjoram, powdered
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 1/2 cup white wine, dry (optional)
  • 1 cup biscuit mix
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, fresh and chopped
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 10 small white onions
  • 1 cup sour cream

How To Make crockpot chicken and herb dumplings

  • Step 1
    Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper, place in crockpot.
  • Step 2
    Insert cloves in one onion; put all onions into pot.
  • Step 3
    Add garlic, marjoram, thyme, bay leaf and wine; cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours.
  • Step 4
    Remove bay leaf and cloves.
  • Step 5
    Stir in sour cream.
  • Step 6
    Increase heat to high and combine biscuit mix with parsley.
  • Step 7
    Stir milk into biscuit mix until well moistened.
  • Step 8
    Drop dumplings from teaspoon around edge of pot.
  • Step 9
    Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.
