crockpot chicken and gravy

Today started with the question, "What can I make for supper?" with our limited groceries left in the fridge. Crockpot to the rescue! You can serve this over noodles or rice, or whatever you come up with. It would also make a good base for a soup... throw in some of your favorite veggies and youre set!

Ingredients

  • 6 - partially defrosted boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 tablespoons butter or margarine, cut in pieces
  • 5 ounces cream cheese, cut in pieces
  • - pepper (to taste)

How To Make crockpot chicken and gravy

  • Step 1
    Put your cubed chicken into your crock pot. In a saucepan melt together your butter and cream cheese. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Pour over chicken mixture and stir.
  • Step 2
    Cook on low for 6-8 hours, stirring periodically. Serve over rice or noodles.
