Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into bite size chunks
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 6 cups garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger grated
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 each red and orange bell pepper cored seeded and thinly sliced
  • 2 scallions chopped
  • fresh cilantro leaves
  • rice or rice noodles for serving

How To Make crock pot manchurian chicken

  • Step 1
    Place cornstarch and pepper in a large baggie. Add the chicken and shake to coat well. Add oil to large skillet. Brown the chicken on all sides then transfer chicken to crock pot.
  • Step 2
    Top the chicken with the onion. mix the chicken broth, soy sauce, chili garlic paste, tomato paste, vinegar, garlic brown sugar and ginger together. Pour over chicken.
  • Step 3
    Cook on low for about 4 hours. Add the bell pepper and cook another 30 minutes. Serve over rice or rice noodles. Garnish with green onions and cilantro
