crock-pot cajun dinner
This recipe was given to me by my sister-in-law, she had not tried it but was going to soon. I prepared this dish last night. This dish was easy to prepare, flavorful and delicious. My husband said this recipe was a keeper.

Ingredients
- 6 - skinless chicken breasts
- 1 pound lean smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 - green bell peppers, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1 - (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 teaspoons chicken flavored bouillion granules
- 4 - bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups instant rice
How To Make crock-pot cajun dinner

Step 1Rinse the chicken and pat dry.

Step 2Spray a 4-quart Crock with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 3Place sausage, peppers, onions, celery, tomatoes, bouillion, bay leaves and garlic powder.

Step 4Stir to blend well.

Step 5Top with the chicken breasts and sprinkle with black pepper.

Step 6Cover and cook for 8 hours or until the chicken is done and the vegetables are tender.

Step 7Add in the rice.

Step 8Stir gently and thoroughly to blend.

Step 9Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender.

Step 10Remove the bay leaves before serving.
