Mmmmmmmmm! Remember while garlic cooks...it sweetens. So it's not going to be that strong garlic that you're thinking of.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken pieces, skinless
  • - salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 2 teaspoons parsley flakes, dried
  • 2 tablespoons dry vermouth
  • 2 teaspoons basil, dried
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • 40 cloves garlic, peeled (yes! you read correctly)
  • 4 stalks - celery, sliced
  • - juice & peel of 1 lemon

How To Make crock pot - 40 garlic clove chicken

  • Step 1
    Sprinkle chicken with salt & pepper.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken; brown on all sides. Remove to platter.
  • Step 3
    Combine wine, parsley, vermouth, basil, oregano & red pepper flakes in a large bowl. Add garlic & celery; coat well.
  • Step 4
    Transfer garlic & celery to crock pot. Add chicken to remaining herb mixture; coat well. Place chicken on top of celery mixture. Stir.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle lemon juice & peel over chicken. Cover; cook on LOW 6 hours.
