Ingredients
- CHICKEN
- 6 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
- salt and pepper
- 1 large egg, beaten
- oil, for frying
- steamed rice, for serving
- GARLIC BUTTER SAUCE
- 1 stick butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons calamansi juice
How To Make crispy garlic butter chicken

Step 1Add the cornstarch to a bowl. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Add to the bowl and mix until all the pieces are covered in the cornstarch. Pour the beaten egg over the chicken and rub all over.

Step 2Add oil to a pan and fry the chicken until done and crispy on both sides, about 20 minutes. Remove chicken to a plate and set aside.

Step 3Add the butter and garlic to the pan and saute 1 minute. Don't let the garlic burn. Stir in the sugar and the juice. Add the chicken back into the sauce and coat. Serve with extra sauce and steamed rice.
