Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, skinned shredded (i use precooked rotisserie chicken)
- 2 cups macaroni noodles
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 cups half & half
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups shredded gouda or monterey jack cheese
- 6 slices bacon, cooked crisply and crumbled
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
How To Make creamy macaroni & cheese with bacon & chicken

Step 1Cook Macaroni noodles according to package directions

Step 2In a deep oven-proof skillet (or regular skillet if you don't have one) melt butter, stir in flour and heat continuing to stir until lightly browned.

Step 3Gradually stir in half & half and cheese, salts and pepper. Stir contantly over medium heat until thickened and bubbly and cheese is melted.

Step 4Remove sauce from heat. Stir in macaroni, bacon and chicken. (If you don't have an oven proof skillet, transfer mixture to a 9x13 casserole or baking dish, if using a pan that can go from stove to the oven, leave mixture in pan.)

Step 5Sprinkle with panko crumbs and broil in the oven 3-4 inches from heat until panko crumbs are browned.
