Creamy Chicken Spaghetti

I wanted something different, so experiment time! I love the lighter flavor of the sauce, because it doesn't overpower the chicken. Hubby was worried, but he said" You were right, it's good," and then got seconds! Hope you try it!

Ingredients

BASE SAUCE

2 can(s)
tomato sauce, 15 oz
1 can(s)
tomato paste, 8 oz
2 tsp
minced garlic, heaping
2 tsp
italian seasoning, heaping
1 tsp
seasoning salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1
green bell pepper, diced small
1
red bell pepper, diced small
1
medium vidialia onion, diced small
1/2 lb
sliced mushrooms, chopped small
1 Tbsp
olive oil, light
1 pt
heavy cream

THE CHICKEN

boneless skinless breasts, cut bite sized
1 Tbsp
italian seasoning, heaping
1 Tbsp
garlic salt
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 tsp
oregano, dried
2 Tbsp
olive oil, light

Step-By-Step

1In a large pot over medium heat, add oil, seasonings & garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add veggies and cook until onions are just soft.
2Add tomato sauce & paste, stirring well to blend.cover, & reduce heat to med low to simmer.
3Combine seasonings & oil with chicken, cover and allow it to "marinate for desired amount of time(porch time for me).
4In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté chicken until "just done"
5Add cream to sauce & stir well to blend. Add chicken including pan juices to sauce. Stir . Allow to simmer for at least 15-20 minutes. (This is when I make pasta.)
6Serve of your pasta of choice with a nice side salad & garlic bread.
