Creamy Chicken and Rice
4 ccooked rice
1/2 cbutter or margarine
2 tspchicken bouillan granules
1/2-1 tspseasoned salt
1/2 tspgarlic powder
4-5 ccubed cooked chicken
2 c(16oz) sour cream
1 1/4 ccrushed butter flavored crackers..(about 32)
How to Make Creamy Chicken and Rice
- Spread rice into a greased shallow 3Qt or 13x9x2 baking pan.
- In a saucepan melt 1/4 C. butter;stir in flour until smooth.
Gradually add milk,bouillon,seasoned salt,garlic powder & pepper.
Bring to a boil;cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened & bubbly. Reduce heat.
Add chicken,cheese,and sour cream (&curry powder if using);stir until cheese is melted.
Pour over rice.
Melt remaining butter;toss with cracker crumbs.
Sprinkle over casserole.
Bake,uncovered,425 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
