Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or stock
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 5/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cans (7oz ea.) packed tuna
- 1 cup peas, cooked
- 1/2 cup cashews , chopped ; optional
How To Make creamed tuna

Step 1Melt fat in a large saucepan; stir in flour.

Step 2Mix in liquids and seasonings.

Step 3Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.

Step 4Add tuna, peas, and almonds. Continue cooking until heated through.

Step 5Serve hot in patty shells or over toasted waffles or biscuits.

Step 6note : this can be done with left over chicken also , just add 3 cups cooked chicken , 1/2 teas. salt , 1/2 teas. garlic powder and swap almond with the cashews.
