How to Make Cream of Chicken Soup
- Cook chicken - boil for 20 minutes in large saucepan 3/4 full of water. Discard water. Cut cooked chicken into small pieces.
- In stockpot, melt butter. With wire whisk, slowly stir in flour, stirring constantly.
- Slowly stir in milk and broth. Cook over medium heat and stir constantly until mixture is slightly thickened and bubbly; reduce heat.
- Stir in chicken, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper; heat through.
