From Kraft Foods, this sounds easy and good. Sounds like it would make a good 'small' Thanksgiving day dinner if you're not cooking a turkey.

Ingredients

  • 2 - cornish hens
  • 1 1-oz packages dried onion and mushroom soup mix
  • 2 16-oz cans whole berry cranberry sauce, reserve 1/2 cup for later
  • 1 - green apple, cut into wedges
  • 1 - red apple, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries

How To Make cranberry cornish hens

  • Step 1
    Place Cornish hens in slow cooker.
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle onion and mushroom soup mix over all.
  • Step 3
    Spoon whole-berry cranberry sauce over hens, placing 1/2 cup of reserved berry sauce in refrigerator for later use.
  • Step 4
    Cook on Low for 8 hours.
  • Step 5
    Remove hens from slow cooker and spoon on reserved cranberry sauce.
  • Step 6
    Surround hens with green and red apple wedges, then sprinkle fresh cranberries around apple wedges.
