- 6 - chicken breasts
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup thinly sliced onions
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 jar (8-12 ounces) cherry preserves
How To Make chicken in cherry balsamic sauce

Step 1Pat chicken dry and season with salt.

Step 2Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté seasoned chicken until browned, 12-15 minutes. Remove chicken to a plate.

Step 3Add the onions to the skillet and sauté until tender, 5-6 minutes. Add vinegar and reduce until just a couple of tablespoons remain.

Step 4Add the broth, increase heat to high and reduce liquid by half.

Step 5Add the cherry preserves and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the sauce is thick.

Step 6Return the chicken to pan and heat through while spooning the sauce over it. Serve hot.
