Chipotle BBQ Sauce

Donna Brown

This is a quick to prepare BBQ sauce with a hint of maple flavor. Just mix it all in the blender, blend well and brush on ribs, chicken, or whatever you choose.

2 c
tomato ketchup or 1 cup ketchup and 1 cup sweet baby ray's bbq sauce
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp
soy sauce
2 tsp
dijon mustard
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
1/2 tsp
onion powder
2 Tbsp
rice vinegar
2 - 3 tsp
liquid smoke flavoring
1 tsp
mccormick smokehouse maple grill mates seasoning
2 - 3 clove
garlic (more if you like)
onion, cut into quarters or smaller
1/4 tsp
1/2 tsp
dried thyme
1 - 2 Tbsp
smoked paprika
2 tsp
lemon juice
chipotle pepper in adobo sauce (if you want more, go ahead and add more)
1/2 - 1 tsp
red pepper flakes, if desired

1Place all ingredients in blender and blender for about 45 seconds to 1 minute. Use on ribs, chicken or whatever you choose. (When I cook ribs, I slowly boil ribs first in beef or chicken broth or a mixture of both until ribs are almost done, about an 1 - 1 1/2 hours, then I place them on the grill and brush with BBQ sauce until browned and falling off the bone. I got that tip from Sandra Lee on Food Network).
