Great Chinese dish with nice flavor. Super easy to make

Ingredients

  • MARINADE
  • 3 - boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon shaoxing wine
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • SAUCE
  • 2 tablespoons black bean sauce
  • 1 tablespoon shaoxing wine
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • STIR FRY
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 small shallots diced
  • - green onion and cilantro chopped for garnish

How To Make chinese chicken in black bean sauce

  • Step 1
    Combine the chicken with the marinade and set aside. Combine the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Add one tbsp oil to a large skillet or wok. Add the chicken to the oil in a single layer and let brown on one side. Flip the chicken and brown on the other. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Add the other tbsp of oil to the pan and add the shallot, ginger and garlic. Saute 1 minute. Add the sauce. Give it a stir then add back the chicken. Cook about 1 minute until sauce thickens. garnish with green onion and cilantro and serve over rice.
