My husband loves this recipe! I received it from my mom who got it from my aunt. You can use low sodium soy sauce and can omit or add anything you want. I don't use nuts in mine and sometimes I add celery for a little more crunch.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chopped chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 5 ounces water chestnuts
  • 1 can chow mein noodles
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or miracle whip...whichever you prefer

How To Make chinese chicken casserole

  • Step 1
    Marinate chicken overnight in lemon juice and soy sauce.
  • Step 2
    Mix everything except chow mein noodles and nuts.
  • Step 3
    Put in 13x9 greased pan.
  • Step 4
    Top with chow mein noodles and nuts.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 degrees (F) 25-30 minutes
