Ingredients

  • 3 c
    chopped chicken breasts
  • 1/3 c
    green onions, chopped with tops
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 1/2 c
    jack cheese, grated
  • 2/3 c
    picante sauce
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 8
    flour tortillas
  • 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Chimichangas

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine chicken, sauce, onion, cumin, oregano and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer 5 minutes or until most of liquid has evaporated.
  3. Brush one side of tortillas with butter.
  4. Spoon about 1/2 cup of mixture on unbuttered side of tortilla.
  5. Top with cheese, fold over and bake in a dish for about 15 minutes.
