Ingredients
- DARK CHERRY SAUCE:
- 1 can pitted dark sweet cherries
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- - tabasco, few drops
- 1 dash salt
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- CHICKEN:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2-4 - chicken breasts
How To Make chicken with dark cherry sauce

Step 1Wash chicken; pat dry. Melt oil and butter in large skillet, brown chicken breasts well on both sides, lower heat, cover pan and cook until done.

Step 2For DARK CHERRY SAUCE: Drain syrup from cherries into a 2-cup measure; add water to make 1-1/2 cups. (Save cherries for Step 4.)

Step 3In a small pan, blend a few tablespoons cherry syrup into cornstarch until smooth; stir in remaining syrup, mustard, molasses, tabasco and salt. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils 3 minutes.

Step 4Stir in cherries and lemon juice; heat slowly just until bubbly. Spoon hot Dark Cherry Sauce over chicken and serve immediately.
