Ingredients
- 1 large chicken
- 1 - celery stalk
- 1 small onion, quartered
- 4 - sprigs fresh parsley
- 2 - whole cloves
- 1 - carrots, peeled and quartered
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 small bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- - water
- SAUCE INGREDIENTS
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
How To Make chicken with cream sauce

Step 1Put the chicken in the crockpot and cover with water.

Step 2Add celery, carrot, onion and salt.

Step 3Tie parsley, bay leaf, cloves and thyme in a small square of cheese cloth, add to the pot.

Step 4Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours.

Step 5Melt 4 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan.

Step 6Stir in flour and cook over low heat for several mins.

Step 7Gradually stir in stock.

Step 8Simmer until smooth.

Step 9Add salt, pepper, parsley and cream.

Step 10Remove chicken from pot, slice and serve with the creamy sauce.
