Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds chicken, cut up
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped (approximately 1 1/2 cups)
- 16 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon crushed dried red pepper, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 ounce unsweetened baking chocolate, finely grated
How To Make chicken with chocolate

Step 1Soak chicken pieces in cold, salted water for about 10-15 minutes. Trim excess fat. Drain chicken pieces in colander. Pat dry with paper towel.

Step 2Heat oil in frying pan or electric skillet (300°F) over moderate heat. Brown chicken. When nicely browned, remove pieces to a Dutch oven or casserole with cover.

Step 3In the skillet in which you browned the chicken pieces, sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper for 10 or 15 minutes on low heat.

Step 4Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Simmer about 5 minutes.

Step 5Spoon sauce over chicken pieces in Dutch oven or casserole. Bake at 350° for one hour.
