Ingredients For chicken with chocolate

2 1/2 lbchicken, cut up

1/4 colive oil

1 lgonion, chopped

2 clovegarlic, minced

1green bell pepper, chopped (approximately 1 1/2 cups)

16 oztomato sauce

1 tspcrushed dried red pepper, or to taste

1 tspsalt
-
1/4 tsptabasco sauce

2 clovegarlic, chopped

1/2 ozunsweetened baking chocolate, finely grated
How To Make chicken with chocolate

1Soak chicken pieces in cold, salted water for about 10-15 minutes. Trim excess fat. Drain chicken pieces in colander. Pat dry with paper towel.

2Heat oil in frying pan or electric skillet (300°F) over moderate heat. Brown chicken. When nicely browned, remove pieces to a Dutch oven or casserole with cover.

3In the skillet in which you browned the chicken pieces, sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper for 10 or 15 minutes on low heat.

4Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Simmer about 5 minutes.

5Spoon sauce over chicken pieces in Dutch oven or casserole. Bake at 350° for one hour.
