Ingredients

  • 4 - chicken thighs
  • 3 - green onions
  • 8 slices wrights bacon
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 3 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • To taste - salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon creole seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon parsley

How To Make chicken w/ mushroom & bacon cream sauce

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400°F
  • Step 2
    Add olive oil and minced garlic in a large cast iron skillet, roast garlic over medium high heat
  • Step 3
    Combine, salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, Creole seasoning and parsley. Season chicken thighs.
  • Step 4
    Sear chicken for 2 minutes on each side.
  • Step 5
    Transfer skillet to oven for 30 minutes.
  • Step 6
    While that's roasting, start on your bacon and cook till crispy
  • Step 7
    Once chicken is done, remove chicken from skillet, set aside.
  • Step 8
    Using the cast iron add mushrooms and cook till tender
  • Step 9
    Add chicken broth, cream parmesan cheese, crumbled bacon & let simmer.
  • Step 10
    Using equal parts of cornstarch and cold water whisk together, stir in and allow to thicken
  • Step 11
    Add the chicken back into the pan; allow to simmer.
  • Step 12
    Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve and enjoy.
