  • 4
    chicken thighs
  • 3
    green onions
  • 8 slice
    wrights bacon
  • 8 oz
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 3 Tbsp
    garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • To taste
    salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    creole seasoning
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Chicken w/ Mushroom & Bacon Cream Sauce


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Add olive oil and minced garlic in a large cast iron skillet, roast garlic over medium high heat
  3. Combine, salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, Creole seasoning and parsley. Season chicken thighs.
  4. Sear chicken for 2 minutes on each side.
  5. Transfer skillet to oven for 30 minutes.
  6. While that's roasting, start on your bacon and cook till crispy
  7. Once chicken is done, remove chicken from skillet, set aside.
  8. Using the cast iron add mushrooms and cook till tender
  9. Add chicken broth, cream parmesan cheese, crumbled bacon & let simmer.
  10. Using equal parts of cornstarch and cold water whisk together, stir in and allow to thicken
  11. Add the chicken back into the pan; allow to simmer.
  12. Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve and enjoy.
