Simple, Quick and easy...that's what I'm all about these days. My daughter makes these and her family devours them.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups of your favorite salsa
  • 8 - tostada shells
  • 1 - (8) ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 - tomato, chopped
  • 1 - 8 ounce bag shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make chicken tostada

  • Step 1
    To Prepare Chicken ahead of time you can bake or fry with butter several boneless chicken breasts and shred OR purchase a store bought rotisserie chicken already baked, remove all skin and shred chicken. Take your shredded chicken and add salsa to it; mix together and keep warm (not hot). Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Spread each tostada shell with a layer of cream cheese, top with chicken mixture, lettuce, tomato and cheese.
  • Step 3
    Top with more salsa, sour cream and hot peppers, if desired!
