Ingredients

  • 3 c
    shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 1/2 c
    of your favorite salsa
  • 8
    tostada shells
  • 1
    (8) ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded lettuce
  • 1
    tomato, chopped
  • 1
    8 ounce bag shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Chicken Tostada

Step-by-Step

  1. To Prepare Chicken ahead of time you can bake or fry with butter several boneless chicken breasts and shred OR purchase a store bought rotisserie chicken already baked, remove all skin and shred chicken. Take your shredded chicken and add salsa to it; mix together and keep warm (not hot). Set aside.
  2. Spread each tostada shell with a layer of cream cheese, top with chicken mixture, lettuce, tomato and cheese.
  3. Top with more salsa, sour cream and hot peppers, if desired!
