Chicken Tortellini Pasta

reece solorio

I first had this at a hotel restaurant a few years ago and have been trying to find a recipe for it ever since. This one I adapted from by adding chicken, and made for the first time tonight. I've already been requested to make it again! It is uh-maze-ing!! :)

Add to Grocery List

1/4 c
olive oil
2 clove
garlic, minced
1 can(s)
(14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 tsp
chicken bouillon granules
4 tsp
dried leaf basil
2 tsp
fresh minced parsley
1/4 tsp
black pepper
2 c
heavy cream
4 Tbsp
parmesan cheese
1 lb
cheese tortellini, cooked
1 lb
grilled chicken breast, cut into strips

How to Make Chicken Tortellini Pasta

  • 1Make sure to cook tortellini and chicken first and set aside. I used pre-cut grilled chicken strips that take about 10 minutes in the skillet. Same for the tortellini
  • 2Blend the chicken granules, basil, 2 teaspoons parsley, and pepper into the crushed tomatoes
  • 3Saute the garlic in olive oil then add the tomato mixture and bring to a simmer. Add cream and bring to a gentle boil. Add the 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese and stir well.
  • 4Stir the tortellini and chicken into the sauce. If desired, serve garnished with more parsley and/or parmesan cheese
