How To Make chicken thighs with garlic broccoli sauce
-
Step 1Place the 10 unpeeled garlic cloves in a large pot of boiling water. Boil for 5 minutes, then remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. Once cooled, remove the skin. It should slip right off. Set aside.
-
Step 2In the same water, add the broccoli florets and boil for about 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
-
Step 3Add the oil to a large saucepan. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Cook the chicken until browned on both sides. Remove to a plate.
-
Step 4Add the wine and scrape up the bits. Let the wine reduce to about 1/4 cup. Add the chicken stock, thyme, and garlic. Add the chicken back in and cook until the chicken juices run clear.
-
Step 5Mix the corn starch with the water. Remove the chicken to a plate.
-
Step 6With a potato masher, mash the garlic. Stir in the corn starch mixture.
-
Step 7Once thickened, add the broccoli and chicken back in. Stir in the lemon juice.
-
Step 8Serve garnished with parsley.
