chicken sausage veggie grill

There is something in this recipe for everyone, even picky eaters can eat everything or pick out their favorites. This is a family favorite. At times, I have made it in the oven when we get the cravings for it in winter.

Ingredients

  • 6 - chicken breast filets
  • 6 - raw sausages, (not precooked) hot, spicy or your choice
  • 2 large sweet onions, cut in eighths
  • 3 medium squash, yellow, cut in 1
  • 3 medium zucchini, cut in 1
  • 1 package baby carrots
  • 4 medium corn on the cob (broken in 3 pieces)
  • 3 large fresh portabello mushrooms quartered
  • 2 - sweet peppers, red, green, orange, or yellow
  • 4 medium potatoes or sweet potatoes, quartered
  • 2 tablespoons italian or greek seasoning or sprigs of fresh herbs of your choice
  • - salt & pepper to taste

How To Make chicken sausage veggie grill

  • Step 1
    Prepare all ingredients, make a heavy duty foil bag, put all ingredients in the 'bag' and shake it up. (Ready made grill bags are wonderful, if you can find them.) Put directly in an open fire and turn frequently, or put on the grill. The veggies listed can be substituted with your family's favorites & quantities are your own preference. The sausage seasons everything in the cooking bag and raw sausages, not the precooked ones, do the best job of adding juicyness & flavor. Cut the chicken & sausage in smaller pieces for quicker cooking time.
