This was Daddy's recipe, he always put beer in his food! Always Miller-Light! In beer-rolls, gravies,gumbo's,sauce-pecan, Every=thing! May he rest in peace! passing on his recipe's with ya'll!!

Ingredients

  • 3 medium celery-stalks
  • 2 large onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons evoo
  • - saute over med heat till all is soft add 2tablespoons flour stir tii looks burnt pour in beer
  • 1 bottle miller-light beer, stir till thickens,
  • 1 box chicken-stock
  • 4 large cooked chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
  • 3 cans mushroom pieces
  • 1whole package link-sausge cut in small slices
  • 2 cans gumbo-style ocra & tomato's
  • 2-3 teaspoons salt & pepper
  • teaspoon to every bowl, add filet of gumbo spice at end of cooking
  • - louisiana hot susace served with every bowl

How To Make chicken & sausage gumbo

  • Step 1
    simmer on medium heat till you can shred chicken apart with fork. add chicken stock to keep thinned downed---Gumbo should be thin & dark! about 1hr--serve----mmuumm good! serve over rice!!!
