chicken sausage, artichoke and red pepper pizza
I had something similar to this at a pizza place when we were on vacation once. This is my attempt to recreate it. Not exact...but pretty darn good!

Ingredients
- 1 - prepared pizza crust, commercial or homemade(i use my whole wheat pizza crust prebaked for 10 min.)
- 1 jar sliced roasted red peppers, drained, divided
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1/2 pound chicken sausages, sliced thinly
- 1/2 cup jarred artichoke hearts, drained, squeezed of excess water and chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup grated or shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil, optional

Step 1Preheat oven to 425F

Step 2Puree, or finely chop 1/2c of the roasted red peppers. Add the 1/4c tomato sauce and blend well. Spread on prepared pizza crust. Sprinkle with the garlic powder and italian seasoning.

Step 3Top with parmesan cheese, provolone cheese and mozzarella. Add the sliced sausage, artichoke hearts and remaining red peppers. Sprinkle with basil, if using. Bake for 10-15 min. until cheese bubbly and edges of crust are beginning to brown.
