Ingredients
- - pat of butter
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
- 1 2/3 cups rice, cooked
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 2 cups chicken, cooked and chopped
- 1 package slivered almonds (small package)
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/4 stick butter
- 1 cup corn flakes, crushed
How To Make chicken rice casserole

Step 1In small skillet, saute celery and onion in butter to soften.

Step 2In separate pan, cook rice according to package directions to get 1 2/3 cup of cooked rice.

Step 3Mix sauted celery, onion, rice and all other ingredients.

Step 4Butter a 9x13" casserole dish; spoon mixture into dish.

Step 5Melt 1/4 stick butter with 1 cup crushed corn flakes. Pour over top of casserole.

Step 6Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
