This is a very simple recipe given to me by my best friend. It is so tasty, I give this recipe to all the new brides when I go to their bridal showers. It is always a huge success!

1 lb
chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, sliced thin
1 c
flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
2 Tbsp
olive oil
2 Tbsp
butter, melted
2 clove
garlic, minced
1 can(s)
4oz - sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp
lemon juice, or juice from 2 fresh lemons
1/2 c
white wine - i use pinot grigio
1/2 c
chicken broth, as needed

How to Make Chicken Piccata


  • 1In a large skillet, drizzle olive oil and melted butter,over low heat, be careful not to burn the butter.
  • 2Dredge chicken cutlets in seasoned flour, and put in pan. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side, until lightly browned. Remove cooked chicken to warm plate.
  • 3If necessary, add a little more butter to skillet, and saute minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Cook for 2 minutes. Add lemon juice and white wine.
  • 4Add chicken cutlets back to pan, add chicken broth, and cover pan. Simmer chicken for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley for garnish, and serve with rice and vegetable. Enjoy!
