My daughter and I were playing in the kitchen and wanted to make something different, so here you go. This is a wonderful dish. Very easy to make, as my daughter is 13 and she made it all. t is a fun twist on an old favorite.

Ingredients For chicken parmesan casserole
- HOMEMADE GARLIC CROUTONS

1/4 csoftened butter

1 tspgarlic salt
-
1loaf of Italian bread
-
2 Tbspparsley
- CASSEROLE
-
2 Tbspolive oil
-
2 clovegarlic, crushed
-
red pepper flakes, to taste

5-6chicken breasts, skinless, boneless
-
2 cmarinara sauce
-
1/4 cfresh basil
-
8 ozmozzarella cheese, shredded
-
4 ozParmesan cheese, shredded

1batch homemade croutons
How To Make chicken parmesan casserole

1For homemade garlic croutons, butter both sides of the bread. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

2Sprinkle with garlic salt.

3Sprinkle parsley on both sides.

4Cut buttered bread into 1-inch cubes.

5Place on a baking sheet.
-
6Bake at 300 degrees for 30-45 minutes stirring every 15 minutes.

7Set aside.

8For the casserole, turn the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 13 x 9 glass baking dish with the olive oil.

9Then add garlic and brush to coat the entire pan.

10Sprinkle some of the red pepper flakes to taste.

11Then place chicken in pan.

12Pour marinara sauce over the chicken.

13Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and the Parmesan cheese over the sauce.

14Add homemade croutons.

15Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

16Bake for approximately 30 minutes. Baking time may be longer if you use larger breasts.

17Sprinkle basil before serving.
