chicken parmesan alfredo with tomatoes

I made this for my family when we had a family gathering and it was a "hit." Several asked for the recipe. This is an easy dish to make. I "tweaked" the original recipe. The original recipe calls for saving some of the sauce and heating it for dipping but my family likes the sauce when it is cooked with the chicken. A good dish over rice and with a salad.

Ingredients

  • 6 - boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs, italian style
  • 1 jar ragu alfredo sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 - medium tomatoes, chopped

How To Make chicken parmesan alfredo with tomatoes

  • Step 1
    Put 1/4 jar of the Alfredo Sauce in a bowl. Dip chicken breast in this sauce and then coat with Italian bread crumbs.
  • Step 2
    Arrange coated chicken breast in 13x9 baking dish.
  • Step 3
    Cook uncovered in preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Pour rest of jar of sauce over chicken and top with shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped tomatoes.
  • Step 5
    Return baking dish to oven and cook 10 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  • Step 6
    Serve over rice.
