chicken noodle chicken
This is a recipe I found in my mother's personal cookbook. She never measured anything so I did my best at guessing quantities and time. For instance, her notes said, "Cook longer than usual. Test for tenderness." My mother was a fabulous cook, always making up recipes like this and her Chicken Surprise, which I'll post soon.

Ingredients
- 1 - chicken, cut up
- 1 package dry onion or onion mushroom soup mix
- 1 can chicken noodle soup
- 1/2 can water
- 1 can small, mushroom pieces, drained. use fresh mushrooms if you like.
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder...more or less depending on your preference for garlic
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
How To Make chicken noodle chicken

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse chicken in cold water, and place in roasting pan.

Step 2Sprinkle onion soup mix over each piece of chicken.

Step 3Mix can of chicken noodle soup with 1/2 can water, and pour over the chicken.

Step 4Add canned or fresh mushrooms, and then sprinkle everything with the garlic powder and poultry seasoning.

Step 5Place in oven and roast for approximately 1 hour.

Step 6When serving, spoon the sauce over the chicken, including the noodles. Enjoy!
