Another Yummy casserole that I enjoy serving.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 package egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1 can mushrooms, small pieces
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 4 ounces pimentos, chopped and drained
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup almonds, slivered and toasted

How To Make chicken noodle casserole

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet, heat oil.
  • Step 2
    Add celery, peppers and onion. Cook until tender.
  • Step 3
    Stir in soup, milk, sour cream and cheese; heat on low until cheese melts.
  • Step 4
    Combine noodles, cheese sauce, chicken, mushrooms, pimento and seasonings.
  • Step 5
    Pour into 3 quart baking dish and top with almonds.
  • Step 6
    Bake in 350° oven for 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
