Ingredients
- 2 cups chicken, cooked and chopped
- 1/2 package egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups celery, chopped
- 1 can mushrooms, small pieces
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 4 ounces pimentos, chopped and drained
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup almonds, slivered and toasted
How To Make chicken noodle casserole

Step 1In a large skillet, heat oil.

Step 2Add celery, peppers and onion. Cook until tender.

Step 3Stir in soup, milk, sour cream and cheese; heat on low until cheese melts.

Step 4Combine noodles, cheese sauce, chicken, mushrooms, pimento and seasonings.

Step 5Pour into 3 quart baking dish and top with almonds.

Step 6Bake in 350° oven for 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
