Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken, broiler-fryer
- 2 - celery ribs, sliced
- 2 - chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 6 ounces tomato paste
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
How To Make chicken mushroom pasta sauce

Step 1Place fryer in crock-pot with celery, onions and salt and combine chicken broth with tomato paste and pour over ingredients in crock-pot.

Step 2Add sherry, oregano and mushrooms; stir to moisten all ingredients.

Step 3Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 3 1/2 to 5 hours.

Step 4Remove chicken; bone meat and dice.

Step 5Return meat to crock-pot.

Step 6Knead butter and flour together and add with cream; stir well.

Step 7Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours or on low for 3 to 5 hours.
