I cut this recipe out of my hometown newspaper many years ago.My husband and kids all love it.My son is a great rice lover so this went over big with him.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds chicken,cut up
- 1 1/2 cups uncooked rice
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 - envelope(4 serving sz.)onion soup mix
- 1 can (14 1/2 to 16 ozs.)ready seasoned stewed tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
How To Make chicken medley

Step 1Place chicken,skin side up,in a shallow baking dish.Bake,uncovered,at 450 degrees for 30 min. or until browned.

Step 2Sprinkle with rice.

Step 3Bring remaining ingredients to a boil.Pour over chicken mixture.Stir.

Step 4Cover,reduce the heat to 350 degrees and bake 30 min. longer or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.Garnih with chopped parsley,if desired.
