Notes from the Test Kitchen:
The breading really absorbs all the great flavors in this chicken marsala. The wine adds a bit of sweetness, while the cheese and mushrooms add some nuttiness. As you sit down to eat this delicious dish, you feel like you're sitting in a fancy restaurant. It's very impressive but super simple to make!

  • 5Add wine and broth to skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes; stirring occasionally. Stir in salt and pepper.
  • 6Spread mushrooms evenly over chicken and pour sauce from skillet. Pour sauce over chicken. Spread cheeses and green onions over chicken. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes until cheese melts.
